Gain ferocity, and gain additional ferocity while attuned to air. Air weapon skills get a reduced recharge time. Bolt to the Heart. Deal increased strike damage to enemies below the health threshold. Fresh Air. Recharge air attunement on a critical hit. Gain a ferocity boost when attuning to air.

Every hero challenge in the expansion gives you 10 points. I always do a quick run through the HoT maps and get the easy hero Points that just require you to press f on the commune point, that should get you about 100 Hero Points, then I do every PoF hero point because they are all soloable.
Specializations . Elementalists have five core specializations, and three elite specializations: Core Fire — Focuses on fire magic, increased damage, and burning. Enhances fire weapon skills and may enhance conjured weapon skills. Air — Focuses on air magic, movement speed, critical hits, and critical damage.
You get hero points when you level. Throughout levelling to 80, you get exactly enough hero points to unlock all base specializations and skills. Any hero points you get in the world just allow you to get those unlocks sooner, and once you are level 80, can be used to start unlocking elite specializations.
Here are the ones I know; Scrapper: Reduced maximum health, no access to elite F5. Holosmith: No access to elite F5. More or less. Not sure Holosmith's is a fair trade off, thought. Reaper: Increased Shroud degeneration. You mainly trade a skillset for another that is a bit more costly.
